Decoflame Nice Lounge Tabletop Bioethanol Fire

A series of portable bioethanol table-top fires made in Denmark by Decoflame. Three forms - the low square Lounge, the Round and the tall Tower - each with a vertical flame behind 8mm hardened glass. They need no chimney, no power supply and no installation, and they are designed for indoor and outdoor use.

Shape, size and output. The Lounge is the compact one at 250mm square with a 1.2kW flame; the Round is 338mm in diameter with the strongest flame at 2.1kW; the Tower stands 330mm tall at 1.5kW. All three burn for up to 6 hours per fill and share the same manual burner, hardened glass and black or white finishes.

Yes - the whole Nice table-top series is designed for indoor and outdoor use. Terrace, balcony or dining table; the burner and hardened glass are built for both. As with any flame outdoors, shelter it from strong wind and never leave it burning unattended.

Neither. The burner is entirely manual - lit with a long fireplace lighter, extinguished with the included lid and closing tool - and bioethanol burns cleanly enough to need no chimney or flue. There is genuinely nothing to plug in.

Fill the central tank, then light with a long fireplace lighter. To extinguish, place the lid over the burner using the closing tool supplied - the flame goes out cleanly. Never refuel while the burner is lit or still warm.

Up to 6 hours, depending on the model and how high you run the flame. The Round holds 2.3 litres, the Tower 1.7 litres and the Lounge 1.3 litres.

Between 1.2 and 2.1kW depending on the model - real warmth from a real flame, comparable to a large candle cluster scaled up considerably. Enough to take the edge off a cool evening on the terrace or add gentle warmth to a room.

Yes, used as intended. The flame sits behind 8mm hardened glass, the burner has a safety chamber, and the bases are stable - the Tower alone weighs 12.7kg. Normal fire sense applies: a clear, level surface, away from curtains and overhanging shelves, and never left burning unattended.

Standard bioethanol at 96.5-97.5% purity, widely available in the UK. The burner refills through a tank in the centre of the fire - always with the flame out and the burner cool.
