British Fires Hinton Electric Stove
- Cast Iron Body

The Hinton is what happens when traditional craftsmanship meets modern engineering. Built using high-pressure Disamatic casting — the same process used for premium automotive parts — this cast iron body features intricate detailing you simply don't get with pressed steel.
The Deluxe Real Logs are genuinely hand-scorched English oak, individually fixed into place. Each Hinton has its own unique campfire arrangement. LED mood lighting on the back wall creates atmosphere in three colours — orange, pink, or blue — with fixed or pulsating settings that transform the room's ambience.
Thermostatic control from 17°C to 27°C via remote keeps you comfortable. The seven-day timer lets you program heating exactly when you need it. Use it freestanding as a traditional stove, or recess it into a fireplace opening for a more integrated look.
The Hinton is for homeowners who appreciate genuine craftsmanship and authentic materials.

Cast Iron Craftsmanship
High-pressure Disamatic casting creates intricate body detailing impossible with pressed steel. Run your hand along the surface — you feel the weight and quality immediately. This is genuine craftsmanship, not mass-produced approximation.
Deluxe Real Oak Logs
Hand-scorched English oak logs, individually fixed into place by technicians. Each Hinton has its own unique campfire arrangement — real wood, real character, real atmosphere that plastic logs cannot replicate.
LED Mood Lighting
Three colours — orange, pink, or blue — with fixed or pulsating settings that transform your room's ambience. The back wall glows independently of the flame effect, creating atmosphere even when the fire isn't lit.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Disamatic casting?
It's a high-pressure casting process used for intricate metalwork. It allows fine detailing on the Hinton's body that simpler manufacturing methods cannot achieve — the same process used in premium automotive and marine applications.
What's the heat output?
1.5kW electric heater with thermostatic control from 17°C to 27°C. Slightly lower than the Ashurst and Bramshaw but still enough to warm a typical living room as supplementary heat.
Are the logs real oak?
Yes. The Deluxe Real Logs are hand-scorched English oak, sustainably sourced from UK forests. Each log is individually charred and fixed into place by technicians.
Can the Hinton be recessed?
Yes. The Hinton can be used freestanding or recessed into a standard fireplace opening. For recessed installation, ensure adequate ventilation and follow the manufacturer's clearances.
What's the difference between the Hinton and the Ashurst?
The Hinton has a cast iron body, LED mood lighting, and real oak logs as standard. The Ashurst has a steel body, an openable door, and a choice of fuel beds. Both are excellent — the Hinton leans towards premium craftsmanship, the Ashurst towards traditional charm.

Why Choose British Fires
British Fires was founded to bring premium electric fireplace technology to the UK market — engineered specifically for British homes, British installation standards, and British aesthetics. The New Forest range is named after the ancient woodland in Hampshire, England, and the fuel beds are crafted using genuine British oak sourced from Dorset forests. These aren't imported generic electric fires with a UK plug fitted — they're designed from the ground up for how we actually live and heat our homes.
