The range is built around a simple idea: the fire should fit the room, not the other way round. Every Avenue is made to measure, with five configurations - front, corner, tunnel, three-sided and three-sided extended - and model sizes from 700 to 1600mm wide. Behind the glass sits Metalfire's engineering: the Double Burner for a gentle flame at half output or full depth at full power, Eco Wave modulation that saves up to 40% gas, and combustion tested on hydrogen blends up to 40%. Six interior finishes and frames in Black, Terracotta or Maple Gold complete the picture.
For maximum efficiency, the Avenue Plus models reach 90.2% - among the most efficient gas fires made - in a more compact form. All Avenue fires run on natural gas, propane or biopropane, vent through a concentric balanced flue, and are controlled by RF remote with thermostat and timer. What is the difference between Metalfire Avenue and Avenue Plus?
Efficiency and scale. The Avenue series offers the widest choice - more configurations and sizes, with outputs up to 14kW and efficiency up to 87%. The Avenue Plus is the high-efficiency line: slightly lower output, but a remarkable 90.1-90.2% efficiency rating in a more compact fire. Both are CE certified, EN 613 compliant and made to measure in Belgium.
What configurations does the Metalfire Avenue come in?
Five: the Front (single-sided), the Corner (two-sided, left or right handed), the Tunnel (see-through, between two rooms), the 3-Sided (panoramic, glass on three sides) and the 3-Sided Extended (an extended panoramic format). The Avenue Plus line covers front, corner and three-sided.
What sizes are Metalfire Avenue gas fires available in?
Widths from 700 to 1600mm, with opening heights of 400 to 950mm depending on the model. The Avenue L series adds taller openings for larger rooms and higher ceilings. Because every fire is made to measure, the size is tailored to the project rather than picked off a shelf.
How efficient are Metalfire Avenue gas fires?
Among the most efficient gas fires available: 80-87% across the Avenue series and 90.1-90.2% on the Avenue Plus. Every model includes Eco Wave, which modulates the flame automatically and can cut gas use by up to 40%, and a convection chamber that returns heat to the room.
Can a Metalfire Avenue gas fire run on LPG or hydrogen?
Yes to both, in part. Natural gas (G20) is standard, and every Avenue is fully compatible with propane (G30) and biopropane - so LPG homes are covered. The burners are also tested on hydrogen blends up to 40% without modification, ready for the changing UK gas grid.
