Watch The RAIS Visio Gas Fire
Fire Over Ceramic Embers
The burner system arranges flames over ceramic embers, creating beautiful, varied and natural-looking flame patterns that closely mimic a real wood fire. The effect is mesmerising and authentic.
Adjustable LED Lighting
Built-in LED lights enhance the flame effect and can be adjusted to suit your mood. Whether you want a bright, lively fire or a subtle, glowing ember bed, the lighting adapts to your preference.
No Chimney Required
In many installations, no traditional chimney is required only a balanced flue system. This makes gas inserts ideal for modern homes, apartments and renovations where a chimney breast is not available.

Frequently Asked Questions
What configurations are available in the RAIS Visio Gas collection?
The Visio Gas collection offers five configurations: Front (single-sided glass), Corner (glass on two sides for corner installation), Three-Sided (panoramic views from three angles), Tunnel (see-through between two rooms), and Room Divider (central installation with fire visible from multiple sides). Each configuration is available in multiple sizes from 70 cm to 160 cm glass width.
What gas types can RAIS Visio Gas fireplaces use?
RAIS Visio Gas fireplaces are compatible with natural gas and LPG. This multi-fuel flexibility means they can be installed in homes with mains gas connections or properties using bottled gas. A Gas Safe-registered engineer must perform the installation and connection.
How do I control a RAIS Visio Gas fireplace?
All Visio Gas models include a remote control for easy operation. Many models also offer app-based control via smartphone or tablet, allowing you to adjust heat output, turn the fire on or off, and set programmable start times from anywhere in your home.
What sizes are available in the Visio Gas collection?
The Visio Gas collection spans four glass widths: 70 cm (compact, ideal for smaller rooms), 90 cm (mid-size, perfect for standard living spaces), 100 cm (large, statement installations) and 160 cm (extra-large, commanding focal points). Each size is available in multiple configurations.
Are RAIS Visio Gas fireplaces energy efficient?
Yes all Visio Gas models achieve A or A+ energy efficiency ratings. The closed combustion system with external air supply ensures clean, efficient burning that maximises heat output while minimising fuel consumption and emissions compared to older open-fronted gas fires.
Do I need a chimney for a RAIS Visio Gas insert?
In many cases, no traditional chimney is required. Visio Gas inserts use a balanced flue system (Ø130/Ø200 mm) that can be routed through an external wall. This makes them ideal for modern homes, apartments and renovation projects where a chimney breast is not present. Always consult a Gas Safe engineer for installation advice.
What is the difference between a Tunnel and Room Divider model?
A Tunnel model (Visio T) is installed through a wall between two rooms, allowing you to see through the flames from one room to the other. A Room Divider model (Visio RD) stands freely in a space, dividing the room while allowing the fire to be enjoyed from multiple sides. Both create stunning architectural features.
Can I install a Visio Gas fireplace myself?
No all gas fireplace installations must be carried out by a Gas Safe-registered engineer. This is a legal requirement in the UK. RAIS Visio Gas inserts require a balanced flue system and connection to your gas supply. Professional installation ensures safety, compliance and warranty validity.
What frame options are available for Visio Gas models?
All Visio Gas models offer a choice of black or stainless steel frames. The simple, discreet frame design maximises the glass viewing area and places the flames at centre stage. The minimalist aesthetic complements both contemporary and traditional interiors.
How much heat do Visio Gas fireplaces produce?
Heat output varies by model and gas type. On natural gas, outputs range from 7.6 kW (Visio 70 models) to 13.2 kW (Visio 160 models). LPG outputs range up to 16.7 kW. This makes the collection suitable for small rooms through to large open-plan spaces.
