Kalfire W66/48S Log Burner Fireplace - Three Sided

Kalfire W Series wood burners are the only wood fireplaces in the world featuring revolutionary curved ceramic glass technology. This exclusive innovation provides unobstructed flame views from every angle while maintaining exceptional efficiency ratings up to 87%. Every W Series model combines Dutch engineering excellence with distinctive frameless aesthetics, offering configurations from compact front designs to dramatic see-through tunnels and panoramic 3-sided models. With A+ energy ratings and Eco-design 2022 compliance, Kalfire W Series represents the pinnacle of wood-burning fireplace technology.

Kalfire's patented Easy Door System is a revolutionary maintenance feature exclusive to W Series wood burners. A hidden lever mechanism allows the curved glass door to tilt forward smoothly, directing any accumulated soot and debris into the firebox rather than onto your floor. This innovative design eliminates the mess and hassle traditionally associated with glass cleaning, making routine maintenance quick and effortless. The system is engineered to operate smoothly throughout the lifetime of your Kalfire W Series fireplace, ensuring your stunning flame views remain crystal clear with minimal effort.

Yes, most W Series models feature Kalfire's smooth sliding lift door system that can be opened completely, allowing you to enjoy the authentic crackle, aroma and atmosphere of an open fire. This unique flexibility lets you choose between closed-door efficiency for maximum heat output, or open-door ambience for that traditional fireplace experience.

The W Series offers exceptional versatility with 13 models across 5 configurations: Front models (7 sizes), 3-Sided panoramic designs (2 models), Corner installations (2 models), Room Divider (1 central model), and Tunnel/See-Through (1 double-sided model). This range ensures the perfect fireplace for any architectural situation.

Kalfire W Series wood fireplaces achieve exceptional efficiency ratings ranging from 78% to 87%, with most models exceeding 80%. The W45/48F compact model leads the range at 87% efficiency, followed by the W71/62F at 83% and the W65/38C corner model at 82%. All W Series models carry A or A+ energy labels and meet strict Eco-design 2022 compliance standards. This exceptional efficiency translates to maximum heat output from every log, reducing fuel consumption and running costs while minimising environmental impact through lower emissions.

Choosing the right Kalfire W Series wood burner depends on your room size and layout. For smaller rooms up to 80m³, the compact W45/48F (9.4kW) or W65/38C corner (13kW) are ideal. Medium-sized rooms between 80-150m³ suit the W60/51F (13.2kW), W70/33F (12.1kW), or W66/48S 3-sided (15.2kW). Large open-plan spaces over 150m³ benefit from high-output models like the W100/61F (17.6kW), W105/47F (17.6kW), or W80/52T tunnel (16.8kW). For media walls and contemporary installations, consider the low-profile W70/33F or wide-format W85/40F.

Kalfire W Series fireplaces require a suitable flue system (closed combustion), professional installation by a qualified engineer, and adequate clearances to combustibles. They feature room-independent operation with external air supply connections. All models are CE certified and compliant with UK Building Regulations Part J. A site survey is recommended to determine the optimal model and configuration.

Absolutely. All W Series models are Eco-design 2022 compliant, meeting strict European standards for emissions and efficiency. They produce minimal CO and particulate emissions compared to traditional open fires. The high efficiency (up to 87%) means less wood consumption for the same heat output, reducing both fuel costs and environmental impact.
